A disputeargumentdisagreementarosehappenedbegan between the North Wind and the Sun, each claimingsaidstated that he was strongertougher than the other. At last they agreeddecided to try their powersstrengthmight upon a travellerpersonindividual, to see which could soonestquickest strip him of his cloaktake off his coat. The North Wind had the first try; and, gathering up all his force for the attacktrying as hard as possible, he came whirling furiously downspinning at high speed upon the man, and caught uptook his cloakcoat as though he would wrestremove it from him by one single effort: but the harder he blewmore wind blown at the man, the more closelytighter the man wrappedtightenedgripped it roundclose to himself. Then came the turn of the Sun. At first he beamedused sun light gently upon the traveller, who soon unclasped his cloakreleased his jacket and walked on with it hanging loosely aboutnear his shoulders: then he shone forthburned in his full strengthwith all its power, and the man, before he had gone many stepstoo long, was glad to throw his cloak right offtake off his jacket and complete his journey more lightly cladwith less clothes.
